My Mission

At Embolden Wellness and Counseling, I believe healing begins when we’re invited to show up as we truly are—imperfect, in progress, and still wholly worthy. My mission is to walk alongside individuals as they reclaim their stories, rediscover their strengths, and rise with quiet courage into lives aligned with their values. Rooted in evidence-based and holistic care, I honor each person’s journey, whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, or finding a way to remove the masks we wear just to get through the challenges of life. Like a flame that flickers but never goes out, or a seed breaking through stone, I see resilience not as loud or flashy, but as steady, sacred, and deeply human. I exist to create a space that feels safe, strong, and real, where growth doesn’t have to be perfect, and where empowerment means coming home to yourself.

Founder of Embolden Wellness and Counseling

Counselor. Coach. Former teacher. Lifelong believer in resilience.

My path to the counseling profession has been shaped by a deep belief in people’s capacity to grow, adapt, and thrive, even in the face of struggle. I started this practice because I believe that meaningful change happens when people are met with curiosity, not judgment, and when therapy is both practical and deeply human. I believe that therapy is most effective when it’s built on a genuine connection and that finding the right fit with a counselor can make all the difference. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own story. I’m not here to tell you who to be. My role isn’t to fix you, diagnose everything that’s “wrong,” or pretend to have all the answers. Instead, I am here to sit with you in the hard moments, help carry what’s weighing you down, and support you as you move toward clarity, healing, and change. On your terms. In your time. I bring curiosity, compassion, and tools rooted in evidence-based approaches. Together, we’ll explore what’s no longer working, rediscover what matters most to you, and build something more sustainable: strength, self-trust, and a life that feels more like your own.

While I completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marquette University and finished my internship in May 2025, my passion for helping individuals grow and achieve their goals began long before my formal training. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade teaching 4K through 8th grade, holding a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from UW–Madison. That time taught me how to meet people where they are, how to listen for what’s not being said, and how to hold space for both challenge and possibility. I also spent more than five years as a CrossFit coach and trainer, helping people move through resistance — physically and mentally. This experience continues to deepen my appreciation for the mind-body connection, and the importance of wellness practices that support resilience. As a coach and trainer, I have seen the power of showing up, again and again, for yourself and for others. Teaching and coaching has also taught me how healing it can be to have someone in your corner.

At Embolden Wellness and Counseling, I bring together these threads — counselor, educator, and coach — to support clients in living more connected, empowered, and authentic lives. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start. Therapy is your space to explore, heal, and grow, and I am honored to walk alongside you on that journey.

Outside of the therapy room, I’m a lifelong learner, a lover of stories, and someone who values humor, honesty, and heart. I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors and traveling.
